Houston, Texas– Portfolio Resident Services, Inc. is glad to announce that the organization has received a generous first donation for The Purpose Fund from Ms. Virginia Couch.
PRS knows that this is the first of many donations for this scholarship program established in 2021 with aims to extend the PRS commitment through academic and skilled-trade study.
The program is based on evidence that suggests by supporting financial hardship that deter continuing education, last-dollar funding can enable low-income, high-potential students to maximize their potential in the classroom, earn credentials, and sustainably strengthen the communities from which they come.
Throughout scholar experience, The Purpose Fund strives to support recipients by engaging with them and their institutions, insuring they have the resources needed to succeed from enrollment to employment.
PRS is the largest third-party resident services provider in the United Sates serving over 300 mutifamily properties.
This impacts more than 60,000 residents in eight states, including: Texas, Mississippi, New Mexico, California, Arkansas, Kansas, and Virginia, and PRS continues to expand!
Kendrell Washington speaks at the Coastal Bend Crossing ribbon cutting ceremony on behalf of PRS
Aransas Pass, TX – Brompton Community Housing Development Corporation (Brompton) and Texas Inter-Faith Management Corporation (TIFM) hosted the official ribbon-cutting event for Coastal Bend Crossing on August 10th. This new upscale affordable housing community brings 80 multifamily units to the workforce of San Patricio County and the surrounding Coastal Bend Region.
Brompton and its lead consultant, Texas Inter-Faith Housing Corporation, developed this apartment community using Hurricane Harvey Disaster Relief Funds administered by the Texas General Land Office. The development team engaged fellow Texas-based firms, Cross Architects and Nations Construction, to design and build Coastal Bend Crossing.
The apartment community is at full capacity with a growing waitlist of prospective tenants. TIFM has begun working with its alliance organization, Portfolio Resident Services, Inc. (PRS), to bring empowerment programs and resident services to all the residents of Coastal Bend Crossing.
Brompton, TIFM, and PRS are all part of the Inter-Faith Group, an alliance of 501(c)(3) non-profits whose mission is to develop stable housing, manage growing communities, and provide quality resident services nationally.
