Nicole Tuscano
Community Services Director
Nicole Toscano has been a part of the Portfolio Resident Services (PRS) team since 2013, contributing her passion for life and her commitment to fostering connections within the community. During her tenure, she has taken on various roles relating to field operations, beginning as a Resident Services Coordinator and now proudly serving as the Director of Community Services for the Dallas-Fort Worth West region.
A native Texan who understands the significance of family bonds, Nicole brings her love for celebrating life with family and friends to her role and has devoted herself to PRS’s mission of empowering and uplifting individuals, families, and seniors in attainable housing.
An alumna of the University of the Incarnate Word, Nicole’s educational journey continues at Rice University, where she is currently pursuing further knowledge in human resources management. In her present capacity, she is grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with the diverse individuals at PRS who share her passion for making a positive impact. From her immediate team members to colleagues in business development, compliance, human resources, and corporate staff, she thrives on working alongside fellow enthusiasts who are dedicated to building community and enhancing self-sufficiency for the residents they wholeheartedly serve.
Nicole cherishes moments of connection and contribution in her role, particularly during initiatives like “Operation Back to School,” a campaign that supplies school essentials to children across the PRS portfolio. She is equally moved by the “Spirit of Giving” initiative, where children come together to create holiday gifts for senior residents, ensuring that they feel remembered and cared for during the holiday season.
Since Nicole became a part of the PRS family, the organization has experienced remarkable growth, now extending its reach to hundreds of communities across more than a dozen states. Through challenges and triumphs, she and her team members have consistently demonstrated resilience and ingenuity. Amid the trials of COVID-19, they delivered essentials to residents unable to leave their homes and organized activities in hallways and outdoor spaces to maintain social bonds. Her team’s adaptability and determination have been a source of inspiration.
Nicole often finds solace and motivation in a quote from Mister Rogers, who encourages us to seek out the helpers in times of crisis. In her team, she sees these helpers everywhere. She praises her colleagues for their genuine kindness and altruism, their unwavering commitment to serving others shining through.
Her priorities lie in spending quality time with loved ones, reveling in the joy of reading, exploring new places through travel, and savoring moments with friends. She’s also always up for a margarita on a patio! Adding to her happiness is her shih tzu puppy, Feliz, who brings boundless joy to her family.
