Jason Ouelette

Director of Training & Staff Development Specialist

Jason’s goal is to continuously equip our team with the tools, resources, and confidence they need to succeed. He wants to create clear, accessible training materials that make our work easier and more impactful. Ensuring every team member feels supported and prepared to serve our communities effectively.

Coming from a background in finance with a Bachelor’s in Psychology and Sociology from Midwestern State University, Jason joined the PRS team in 2018 as a Resident Services Coordinator for a community just one mile away from his front door. He loved the idea of serving his neighbors in need firsthand by providing resources and supportive programming.

Within a year, Jason was promoted to Regional Coordinator. He saw a large amount of growth during this time when the Austin market expanded into three different regions. Therefore, quickly after he became the Community Services Director for all of Austin and San Antonio. In 2025 he ventured into a role becoming Director of Training and Staff Development Specialist.

Jason has enjoyed many aspects of his career with PRS, but connecting with residents remains his biggest passion. One of his most memorable experiences was helping a woman find resources and job training after her family was affected by Hurricane Katrina. She ended up owning her own bakery, and to this day, she returns to the community to volunteer by teaching baking classes for children during after-school programming. Now, Jason loves helping other coordinators find that very same joy and purpose through training.

In addition to his role at PRS, Jason also serves as a pastor for a local congregation and is a loving father to his 11-year-old son, Grayson. In his free time, he also enjoys playing golf and walking his dog, a 95-pound goldendoodle named Galveston.
