Lisa Hess joined Portfolio Resident Services (PRS) in 2009 and currently serves as Senior Director of Administration with oversight of the Accounting and Human Resources departments.

A native West Virginian, Lisa began her career in the oil and gas industry after earning a BBA Degree in Accounting at Marshall University and passing the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam. Her corporate accounting role with Columbia Gas Systems eventually led her to Houston, Texas, where she is now the proud mom of two University of Texas Longhorns.

Since joining PRS, Lisa has earned her Nonprofit Finance Certificate from Rice University and spearheaded numerous initiatives to streamline operations and automate administrative processes. Included among her achievements are the implementation of a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, a Human Resources Information system (HRIS), migration to a robust accounting system and development of a Learning Management System (LMS). Lisa’s efforts during her tenure have provided a solid foundation for the nation-wide expansion of the PRS mission. 

Lisa’s favorite aspect of PRS life is working with a talented group of individuals dedicated to making a difference in the lives of others. She takes pride in collaborating across departments, using her ability to identify and implement corporate-wide strategies and efficiencies that maximize the positive impact PRS has in the communities we serve. 

Throughout her career, Lisa has volunteered her time and talents to organizations that align with her personal values and passions. An avid traveler, Lisa is either planning her next adventure or enjoying a trip with friends and family to one of the few remaining U.S. states she has yet to visit.
